Remember the Pet Health Food Recall Last Year?

Last year the United States experienced the biggest pet health food recall in history. There was only about 1 percent of all pet food recalled but sixty million packages of food and about 100 brand names were affected. It all began in September of 2006 with contaminated wheat gluten that was imported from a Chinese company and later bought and used by Menu Foods; a big producer of pet food. Finally in Mid-March food was recalled and the contamination was retraced. It was found that some of the food did contaminate human diets by the feeding of animals intended for human consumption. Kidney failure was the reaction to the food's contamination.
