Summertime for Pet Health Skin Care

The hot temperatures of summer require you to take note of necessary pet health skin care. Pets can get sunburn just like you can get sunburn on the top of your hairy head. The most common spot pets get burned is on the bottom of their feet by walking on the hot asphalt during mid-day walks. Shaving dogs down to an inch-long coat can prevent overheating; just make sure you don't shave more because the hair does provide some protection from the sun. Don't use sunscreen intended for humans on your pet; this can cause neurological and ingestion problems in your pet.
