Why We Need to Rescue Pets

rescue petsWhat some people do not realize is that we need to rescue pets. Some may argue that this is just a waste of time and money. They say that what we need to concentrate on is our own species; the human beings. I say to this that it is a load of crap. Dogs become part of a family if you have them for a long time. People treat them like people and when they die, people cry over it. So, as human beings, we are ethically obligated to take care of these pets. That is why if you are looking for a pet, you should go to a rescue pound.

Rescue Pets Program Encourages Adoption

rescue pets

Rescue pets programs want to convey a message that adoption is the humane and kind thing to do. The organizations make appearances at PetSmart in West Fargo, North Dakota to convince people to take in a homeless pet.

Human or canine, "everyone needs some TLC and a second chance to find love."

And TLC is precisely what these dogs are getting. They belong to the For Love of Dog rescue group, and they need someone to take them home.

"Sometimes I feel that like maybe they're the most grateful, you know, because they were in a bad spot and now they've found their forever family and they've got their second chance."

Adoption is a humane alternative to pet-shop sales, as the animals that don't sell often go to animal control. In Fargo, ND, canines that arrive there only have a 3-5 day window for someone to adopt them before they're put down.
